Mexichem Fluor is one of the largest developers, manufacturers and suppliers of fluorochemicals in the world, which have applications across numerous industries. Its hydrofluoroalkanes (HFAs) are used as propellants in 80% of all metered-dose inhalers.

With its “mine to market” structure it controls the supply chain and its mine at San Luis Potosi, Mexico, is one of the largest producers of fluorspar (mineral calcium fluoride) in the world, accounting for over 20% of the global supply, and also produces around 10% of the world’s hydrofluoric acid supply. 

Mexichem Fluor is a division of multinational chemical company Mexichem, which has more than 22,000 employees, operates in >100 countries and annual revenues of US$5.8 billion. Mexichem was established 50 years ago and its stock has been publicly traded on the Mexican stock exchange for 30 years.
