For the past 25 years, he has mainly worked in the life sciences sector with an increasing focus on the use of devices and digital technologies to support drug delivery and measure clinical outcomes. He holds both a degree and PhD in Physics from University College London (UK) and an MBE in Technology Management from The Open University. Dr Simpson lectures on Bioscience Enterprise at the University of Cambridge (UK) and is a regular speaker at industry conferences.
