Marcus Herrmann, PhD, is Managing Director of Johnson MedTech Germany, part of the global Johnson MedTech (JMT) organisation. Since 2024, he has worked as Director Engineering Service, focusing on drug delivery systems, medical-grade pumps and valves and diagnostics. He studied Electrical and Precision Engineering in Dresden (Germany) and London (UK), earning his PhD in 2008 on electromagnetic actuators at Munich University (Germany). In 2008, he joined Johnson Electric (JE) as Manager R&D for stepper motors and mechatronic subsystems. Before Johnson MedTech, he was Director Global Engineering at JE’s Metering and Circuit Breaker segment, overseeing actuation systems and high-power relays with close ties to high-volume production.
