Philippe Lauwers, Director Technology Development for Terumo Europe, graduated in Biotechnology from Ghent University (Belgium) and worked as a scientific researcher at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. Upon obtaining an additional degree in Bio-medical Engineering, he moved from an academic to an industrial environment. He has been active in the medical device and pharmaceutical packaging sector for the last 10 years with growing responsibilities in business development and technical roles. Mr Lauwers also serves as an expert in ISO technical committees TC76 and TC84 and is a volunteer for PDA.
